Calibre2 is the Programs Files folder on Windows
All current versions are 2.x (1.48 was the last on XP unless you were lucky and 2.00 ran on your rig, and YOU kept the installer

)

Calibre version 2.x works fine With the EXACT same library files, on W10 and W7 (and XP).

The disappointment is on your rigs. And is caused by something in one of your local SYSTEM configurations (folder permissions? Disk 'Encryption' was enabled in the OS?)
