I thought I'd *never* see one of my favorite childhood books in ebook form unless I scanned it myself, it had become so rare that paperback copies, when seen, might command $65-70 on eBay. Hardcover copies were running around $130 & up ... for ex-library. And you'd only see a tiny handful of copies auctioned per year at that.

One of those stories where those who were lucky enough to have grown up with it wanted to be able to read it with their kids and were willing to pay for the privilege.

The author's son held the copyright, but he struggled to find someone to publish it, primarily I suspect because he wanted it to come out again in print form. Fortunately, he finally, after years of trying, found a publisher to work with and "Sinbad and Me" by Kin Platt is back in both hardcopy and ebook form!

If you enjoy a fun juvenile mystery with a boy and a dog, treasure, crooks, pirates, a ghost and a healthy dose of architecture and rare coins, this might be for you! I'm totally thrilled, already have the hardcover, and will buy an ebook copy soon as well.

I hope we all live to see our favorites released as ebooks!
