Transferring highlights from an azw3 non-amazon book to the Kindle app for PC
Hi
I created an ebook and converted it to azw3 format and loaded it onto my paperwhite. Works perfectly. Then I added highlights and notes to the entire book. Now I wish to get those highlights on the desktop. The Kindle app for PC doesnt show the highlights.
From my understanding the azw3 file has the notes and highlights information stored in the azw3f and azw3r files, but the kindle app seems to be creating /using the .mbp file for highlights, which is the .mobi format. So it seems like the kindle app doesnt support non-amazon azw3 highlights porting.
So I'm trying to find a way to get this to work.
I can't Whispersync it because .azw3 files arent supported. Only .mobi files are. Is there a way to rename to .mobi AND KEEP the highlights and notes?
So is there a way to convert an non-amazon azw3 file to .mobi AND KEEP the highlights and notes?
Or is there a way to convert from .azw3f and r to .mbp
There's also the MyClippings.txt file. Is there a way to convert this file to .azw3f or .mbp and keep all the locations intact etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
