There is a plug-in called plugboards that may help you.

Also, if you are willing to jailbreak, keep your Kindle in airplane mode. A new JB was nearly released last year, but the author is waiting for Amazon to release a new FW before he releases it (probably). If your FW updates (stealthily) you will not be able to JB your Kindle (if it is eventually released).
