wlldm - I suggest you upgrade to 8.1 and get that bedded down (should be relatively easy) before thinking about 10. I'm not even certain that you can go from 8 to 10 without going via 8.1.
After upgrading to Windows 10, you have 30 days in which to exercise the one-click revert to previous version option.
I've done over a dozen upgrades, mainly from 7, only one of which
had to be rolled back due to some Jurassic Park hardware, no suitable drivers—but the hardware isn't even fully functional on 7 :lol:
Couple of GenX/Y user's couldn't handle Win 10 emotionally (everything worked, albeit some of it a bit differently), so they went back to 7. As usual baby-boomers who want to keep up to date have less trouble coping with change. But many in the GenX/Y cohort claim they want to keep up to date—but they don't want anything to change
