Jon. I actually think you would be happier with a job at one of the Big 5. Then you could happily reject 99% of what was submitted to you for any reason or no reason at all. The only way I can see that you would be accountable at all is if you rejected what later became a bestseller, and even then you would have so much company I doubt there would be any repercussions. What is the downside? Get that resume off! now!
