Just to update you. I actually continued to have problems with Cailbre getting stuck initializing interface. On a lark I decided to try the 64bit windows version since my PC is 64bit. That does seem to have fixed the problem of getting stuck on initializing interface. I've restarted Calibre several times and it has opening up every time.
Thanks for the help. It was reassuring knowing that I could uninstall and reinstall Calibre and it wouldn't affect my Calibre Library.
