I may read the reader reviews from people I know (or at least know the reading history of) on Goodreads. But other than that, I don't really read them at all. I just look for decent volume and a somewhat natural dispersal across whatever like/dislike/meh ranking-system is being used.

But honestly; I hardly ever go browsing randomly through the virtual stacks for reading material anyway. My potential purchases come to me mostly via word of mouth (aka: real and virtual social circles). I pretty-much know I'm really interested in a book long before I ever get near a review of it.

I don't mind stumbling across an undiscovered gem occasionally, but I'm not actively out looking for them. Which makes anonymous reader-reviews mostly irrelevant to me.
