Hi uncharmed and welcome! I hope you enjoy your Kindle as much as I enjoy mine!

One of the things I like best is the ability to Wikipedia via Whispernet--and Amazon pays!

I was recently reading a book that had a reference to the Cheviot Hills. Didn't know about the Cheviot Hills, so I turned on my antenna, and within a couple of minutes I was reading about the geography along the England/Scotland border. Then I followed a link about a long-distance hiking trail called the Pennine Way. Then... well, you get the idea.

Eventually I DID get back to my book.

By the way, the book was by J.S. Fletcher--a very enjoyable author if you like detective stories and/or early 20th century English period pieces.
