If you're downloading books from the places you bought them, you should be able to read the books on whatever tool they offer, even if it's limited to your computer/tablet.
If you're talking about downloading books that you didn't purchase, and they happened to have DRM, you'll want to avoid discussing it here. Admitting to piracy will get you banned.
Members at Mobileread cannot provide detailed instructions for DRM removal, although we do talk about it alot. You can google apprentice alf for details on tools for books you've purchased.
