What do you mean when you said "it can be done within platforms"? It can be done between Ipad, Android and Kindle?

I'll correct myself, I've read in other forum that someone managed to sync their position between the different devices by sending the mobi file to their free Kindle email address.
Although I did send the mobi file to my kindle address, I wasn't able to sync the positions between different devices. I don't know whether I am allowed to post a link to other forum in this thread. If I'm allowed to do it I can try to find out whether I read the post and post it here.
I hope I expressed myself clearer this time.
