If this comes at no extra charge (like Apple Music or iTunes Match) I don't see the problem. Books are super small and plenty of books should fit into even the 5GB of space that they are giving out for free...
I really wish Amazon would compete with mich better desktop apps...
On another note: in the update is also Apple's version of flux and it seems that this may well be the first real "for the readers" update in quite some time...
