Monts was 8.5 when he died. We still have Mags, and, what's more, we also now have Oscar (who was 8 when we got him not long after Monty died - it's a long story - which gave a nice kind of continuity):

Oscar is 10 tomorrow. He still thinks he's 3 though. He's the coolest dog ever.
