I'm in the midst of Origins of the Specious: Myths and Misconceptions of the English Language by Patricia T. O'Conner.

I am a big fan of the English language, being an amateur writer and heavy reader that I am (and considering it's the only language I know well enough to hold a conversation in...), so these kinds of books are really up my alley.

At any rate, this is a nice palate cleanser before diving back into the sordid affairs of all people, places and things fictional, factual and historical (much history is mere fantasy, after all ).

After this, it may be Washington's Dirigible, or The Prophecy Con, though at the moment I'm feeling in the mood of something more suspenseful...
