[Glo HD] Another series question (sorry)

Hi everyone, I've actually tried to read up on this but I'm unable to find a solution so far, so please bear with me

I'm having some trouble getting series to work in my collections. I'm using the KoboUtilities plugin on calibre and while I can get series information to actually show up and shelves to be formed as I add series, I can't seem to get the order of the books right. I understand this was broken in an update some time ago from Kobo's end, has there been any workaround thus far?
I'm aware that I can change the title of the book (e.g. Mistborn 01 or something like that) using a plugboard, but short of doing that, is there any other way to get the order right?

Thanks!

EDIT: I should probably add that I've tried changing the sort to author and date added, but the end result is still the same with the books out of order.
