I can get past a lot of typos and misspellings if the story flows but that's a trait that's not learned in a first attempt.
Giving credit to the self published they are probably self editing and that's were so many errors come in. It's almost impossible to self edit as you will read right past the errors and the word programs miss words that are spelled correctly but the wrong word waist/waste example.
