I'm often wondering how some writers can write books at a pace of one every six months. Mostly, those are writing about one or two characters as main protagonists, and often in a shared world too.

It's probably easier because the characters, the backstory, and the entire world already exists.

edit: That guy (Sanderson) can write more books and series at one time than I have time to read. If he really finishes Stormlight 5 in 2021, I might just be able to give the series a go... after the five hundred million books I wish to read, games I want to play, and music I want to listen to.

I think I'm amusing myself to death. Too much to do that can't be done because I have to go to work every day, without which I can't even buy stuff to amuse myself with.
