As to "automatically interface with the plugins," I'm not sure what you mean. 0.9.x comes with it's own integrated Python3 (on Windows and Mac) that is configured to be used by default (meaning you no longer have to have Python installed separately on your machine to make use of the plugins). But individual plugins will need to be downloaded and manually installed. There is no integrated method for finding/getting plugins, though. You'll have to be more specific if that's not what you meant.
Will I need to install anything to be able to run selected plugins, eg. Java.
