The slow boot time of the h2o does bother me.
By the time it booted, and loaded an article, I'm already doing other stuff on my pc, and by the time I'm back at the device for being such a slouch, it already entered sleep more, or is turned off, and needs to be started again.
I'm usingbthe deviceat work, and noticed several times, that all I really do, is boot the device. By the time I finally get to it, I have to boot it again,
So I'm really bothered by the slow boot time!
Hey, I just reported what the stop watch told me. While I know the N905 Touch does not have the removable internal uSD card, I do not know what type of device it does use for it's mass storage. Perhaps you would care to explain why you consider that set of reproducible results to be bull?

I'm rather surprised that you have your Kobo set to power off. My preference is to sleep after 15 minutes and never to power off. The change in battery lifetime between sleep and power off is not great enough for me to worry about given my reading and book adding habits. Sleep mode is pretty fast in resuming on the book you were reading compared to the time it takes to boot up to the home screen and re-select your current read from power off. YMMV, of course.

As for the slow boot time? I have memories of booting a Data General Nova minicomputer by toggling in a boot loader, reading the boot tape (special format using 4 bits per line on a punched tape) and then loading the OS from another punched tape -- all this using a TTY 33's tape reader. Makes my H2O seem like Speedy Gonzales on meth.
