There are books that fit just in SF and there are books that fit just in fantasy. Those are the ones that should have their own categories. The rest and be mixed.
Mystery, thriller, & suspense is another rubbish joining of categories that should remain separate. Another HUGE mistake is comics & graphic novels. To people who read either category, they are not the same. Not even close.
In fact, NONE of the combined categories are correct. They don't work.
This is not just Amazon. But Amazon is the big one that should be leading the way and showing others how to do it correctly instead of how to do it all wrong.

My question was what store DOES do it correctly? If I was looking for an example of a book store that did search the best, I wouldn't look to Amazon, I would look to the company that specializes in search...Google. Unfortunately, while Amazon will allow you to separate Science Fiction from Fantasy, (at least in terms of a category search) Google will not.
