It's not unknown but they just use whatever classification the publisher put on it.

Amazon could do that for big publishers but small and self-published books are often tagged as both SF AND Fantasy not to speak of the folk to whom Fantasy mean erotica.

And the Usenet rec.arts.sf.written FAQ has a reminder "If you think you can accurately split SF from Fantasy you haven't thought properly"

Baen and others have published "fantasy without magic" for example
