Thanks so much for answering.

I thought 'last used' was the default, so it's slightly annoying when you close an epub, open the next one, and it's completely different. Unless the default is 'last used' for that particular epub instead of 'last used' in general? If it is last used for a particular epub, I'd personally like that changed...

I won't say I never have 2 instances open, but it is incredibly rare, so I don't think that is a cause for me.
