I don't always do this by any stretch of the imagination, and I certainly am not going to start doing this all of the time, but curiosity got the better of me, so I navigated to the publisher's, Shilka Publishing's, website to do some looking around ("Shilka publishes books about military technology and history"). Seems that if you join their mailing list, you'll get a
free ebook (I'm assuming that it's an ebook),
A D*mn Close-Run Thing: A Brief History of the Falklands War (in case you want to research the book, note that the asterick is mine. Replace it with the needed letter, Gtrs), by Russell Phillips.
The book is for sale on an ongoing basis. Amazon sells the Kindle mobi for $2.51. The Kindle edition is 204 pages long. Ratings? Generally high at Amazon and GoodReads. FYI--I see
no other freebies at Amazon from Shilka at the present time.
In my excitement to post this, I haven't yet signed up, myself. So, I don't know how easy or difficult that it is to get off of their mailing list once you get on it. But they say, "we will never share your email, and you can unsubscribe at any time." And they say that they will send you announcements of sales in the newsletters!
You can go to
Shilka's homepage to sign up.
Thanks for finding and posting the free ebook, GARussell.
