Nope! Not a good idea!
Back in the 80s one of my brothers had a New Year's Eve party at our parents' house. A couple of his friends brought their kids, who were in the 5 to 8 year old range. They wandered into the kitchen during the party and asked my Mom if she had any soda. She reached into the fridge, pulled out a couple colorful little bottles and handed the kids ... wine coolers.
Fortunately, the kids complained about the taste!
