Completely agree about Google Play Books. People dismiss it because of how it used to be, but it's definitely been improving over time. And the simplicity of simply uploading your books once and being able to download on demand to any device is really convenient. Auto-syncing of your notes and highlights to Google Drive/Docs is a great feature, as well (

I'm astounded that iBooks doesn't have proper library syncing at this point. With all the emphasis on iCloud and CloudKit, etc. the fact that your library doesn't live in the cloud with iBooks (except for those books purchased through iBooks) is a disappointment.
And, BTW, the new Night Light mode they just introduced in Google Play Books is pretty nice.
