However, this only works if you make the changes to your source XML, not the temporary work-xml. If you change that one, it will not be caught. Then again, you should not be able to select the temporary xml file as source.

I'm running 1.14.1 released in October. I don't see an option to specify an XML file as the source for S&R rules, where should it be. Or is there a later version, Check for update says "No new version available".

I change the source xml, not the temporary one. If what you say were true, then I agree there would be no need for a button - but it doesn't work for me with 1.14.1.

I remind you of this conversation we had in November. Automation can fail, there have been at least two recent airliner crashes related to autopilot failure - in one case due to weather conditions it couldn't land the plane and the pilot didn't know how to do it manually!
