Cheers kougei, it worked exactly as you said. Works a charm...
I have only one slight musing, though I'm embarrassed to say anything after all the work you done, in that when I open any internal application e.g Convert tool, the opened window extends below the screen and I can't get it to come up. This sounds daft, but all the internal windows that open are that way and the execute buttons, I'm presuming, are at the bottom of the window so I can't get to them other than Tab'in down and guessing.
Now I've tried messing round with screen setup, window parameters, screen boarders, hiding the tool bar at the bottom of the screen, shrinking the window down and trying with the pointer to pull it up and none of it works. The window won't pull up and changing the settings still opens the window with a section below the screen.
Through playing with the Tab key going below the screen I will be ok, but just wondered what it could be? The programs not originally wrote for Linux Linpus and the Acer's screen resolution? Could there be any fix?
Anyway thanks for the help and getting me Calibre.
Cheers,
Durk's...
