there is an application in my country that sells books on android and IOS phone and tablet, this app previously had a bug that give you the book file( in epub format) , so I can copy it elsewhere and read for example on Ebook reader, but recently after latest update the file you can copy become encrypted or DRM secured or ...
the file i sent above is driven this way
I'm surprised to hear that its not an epub file. and as you know better than me epub files are like zip-archived-file, you can change the extension and see inside of them
