Jon, are you aware that there is a big difference between a blacklisted Kindle and a working Kindle that is just unable to be registered to an account that has been deactivated?
Blacklisted Kindle is a Kindle that has been reported stolen.
And even blacklisted Kindle can be used to read side-loaded books, just not DRMed content directly from Amazon (without de-DRMing first).
