I looked at Ebay for Kobo's a couple of weeks ago and I saw 2 or 3 Glo HD's used but they weren't much cheaper than the new ones. If I remember correctly one was the same price as a new one and one was a few dollars less. Given that I'd get a new one.
I bought a Kobo Glo (not an HD) from Ebay a few months ago for $60 plus shipping. Most are more than that but this one said it was in excellent shape, which it was, and the price was good so I got it. It's been just fine.
I haven't seen the Glo HD so I can't really compare them but the regular Glo is pretty nice.
