I have a lot of tablets and have had for years. I've been using 64gb cards in them since they became available.

For a few years I had no problems doing this but in recent years, I'm guessing because of upgrading to newer versions of Android, I've replaced all of the cards on my older tablets with 32gb cards. I was just having too many little problems.

The main problem I had was that the card would suddenly become unavailable to the tablet. I wonder if this might be because of not having room for the larger block size. I use the older tablets mostly for watching TV shows stored on the card so that's usually when it happened. I would think that would be a fairly undemanding task but most of these things have only 512mg RAM or 1gb RAM so I wouldn't be surprised if that was it.

I don't really know much about Android so I'm just guessing of course. And I have no idea how this might apply to ereaders.

Anyway, at least on tablets, I've begun to stay within the tablets specs on card size even after years of doing that with no problems.
