I agree with you. I thought it was pretty mediocre. No bad but certainly not prize worthy IMO. I expected to love it (or at least really like it... ) and was quite surprised I did not.

Currently, I am reading Elizabeth George's latest novel -- A Banquet of Consequences (Inspector Lynley). I am only about 100 pages into this (long) book, but enjoying it. It is the first one of her books I have tried. I would prefer to start with the first book in the series, but this one is my book club selection so I had to jump in totally in the dark about the main characters. I will probably go back and start from the beginning later.
