Last week I tried to sign into my kindle account on my iPad and it will not allow me access.
You certainly continue to have access to books already on your kindle even if your account ceases to exist. I wonder if that is what they meant.

I'm curious about the exact wording of their statement to you on this. Did you happen to keep the email?
