Not sure where you got your information. There is no longer a page on the official website but when it did exist I believe it said max was 32GB. Here is also a page where it agrees with the 32GB part

Edit: This page from their official website says 32GB is max. Just click Kobo glo and any other device and it will say: Option to expand up to 32 GB with a Micro SD card.
