I preferred the old look but don't feel strongly about the new one. In contrast, lots of participants in
Goodreads' Feedback Discussion > Announcements > Visual design change have posted vehement negative reactions.

Does it make me a meanie to chuckle at the wording of some of those posts? (FYI, I feel for those who wrote them, but the way they expressed themselves... well...

I'm sure GoodReads got the message, but doubtful the complaints'll make much difference with regard to the redesigned site's palette, layout, and features. GRs does seem keen, though, to learn about and respond to reports of "any bugs, inconsistencies, or broken layout issues", as well as "difficulty with contrast or readability on the site".
