Yes, I understand the argument about controlling the "experience" but still that was an opening that has been exploited over and over.
It's safe to say that number is trivial. Given the number of sales of tablets lacking SD card support it's hard believe that the numbers would be significantly higher.

As for controlling the experience, that's simply marketing spin to hide the fact that without sd card support these companies can sell higher capacity units with higher markups.
