Yup, I've watched movies in airplanes on someone else's headrest and not had a problem following what was going on. I probably could have started the moving on my own, but I wasn't that interested. I just happened to catch the second half of someone else's movie. Most movies aren't that complicated and while it's probably funnier to hear what they say, you get the gist of it.
