But LED lighting does make the set thinner, and lighter, and more energy efficient, all properties that don't play well with big heavy powerful audio amps and speakers! Hence the anemic built-in sound systems.
Okay I know nothing then what is on the box. It's got amazing sound compare to HDTVs I've watched. I was shock how loud it is on just 5 and all the settings. Our Sony's sound sucks thus the need for headphones to hear anything but this little TV is louder then our 46" Bravia on just 10 and had really good BASS settings for music.

The headphones just don't work well for some reason.
