No, it's LCD.

The lighting source is LED, rather than older-style fluorescent lighting, that's why they are marketed as "LED TVs."

True LED display TVs are far more expensive, like these OLED sets at Best Buy:

But LED lighting does make the set thinner, and lighter, and more energy efficient, all properties that don't play well with big heavy powerful audio amps and speakers! Hence the anemic built-in sound systems.
