If they're happy with the set, that's the main thing. $179 is pretty nominal for any 32" in LCD, and if they were going to spend another $30 or more on a Roku anyway.....
Not to mention I haven't seen any killer deals out there this year. Retailers must have been making their sales goal because there was no real desperation or last minute lowering. We bought a TV last year. The deals were about the same this year. Last year the deal was a pretty good drop from the year before, but this year they stayed in that same sale range. Our tv is not a high end one, but we had an old 'tube' model that only sort of had HD. The new one has a great picture, but the sound is something you'd expect out of an old jalopy AM radio. Luckily we never have the sound on since all we watch is football.
