Recent no-rush shipping credits can now be used for apps (shows here under "Software/Video Games") in addition to video rentals, select e-books, etc. I had Amazon Coins I wanted to use for an app purchase, but instead of using Coins, it took payment from my no-rush credits first! I'd been saving no-rush credits for a particular $9.99 e-book and was only 50 cents from my goal, so I was a bit miffed.

This just happened to me except it was my husband who bought an app for the Fire TV. He said he chose to pay with coins and that would have been fine because I have 3200 coins I'll never use. I'm going to contact Amazon because I should be able to choose which to use, or it should tell me what will be used. 1 click should be illegal. I have a right to know how something will be paid for before I pay.
