Whenever possible I would say use AZW3. There's no good reason not to, unless you need to be compatible with devices that simply don't support it -- and every device since the Kindle Keyboard (and that too with a firmware upgrade) supports AZW3. |
Actually I prefer to use mobi because I like the tighter line spacing the mobi reader uses. Also the azw3 reader likes to leave a lot of white space with justified text, a problem for someone who needs largish font as I do. For most books I read, I'm not losing much by way of advanced formatting anyway, so I just stick with Mobi.
