Not in direct sunlight. It's too hot in Brisbane, Australia to do that for me.
However, if I did, you'd be right. Ereaders would be much better. In that case I'd be using the ereader more.
For me, I mostly read on lunch breaks. in my computer room at home or in bed, nowhere where there's direct sunlight.
The Samsung galaxy S 8.4 displays quite well outside anyway for me, although not as well as an eink ereader.
Still, if I were to go on a holiday, I would defo take an eink ereader. The extended battery life is such a big bonus.
As we have a few ereaders in our house, that wouldn't be a problem.
