The usbnet is really meant for people proficient in using the linux command line anyway because you could easily brick the DX.

You should now be able to return to the 2.5.8 or the 3.1 OS without difficulty. That would solve whatever you did when upgrading to 3.3 OS. Why do you want to upgrade the OS?

Do not enable the usb auto mode unless you have read the instructions and have ssh working and everything else.

EDIT: I can't remember if the auto only affects the usb login or not because I always use the search bar. I have tried the wifi login just prefer the telnet. Maybe you can still telnet into the DX in auto mode or maybe not. I haven't read the instructions for a long time.
