Good idea. Some people wouldn't bother "for just a few dollars," but being frugal as I am (and knowing that "a few dollars" here and there add up to a lot of dollars over time), I do bother.

If a person wants the membership to lapse he/she does need to go to their account settings and un-select the automatic renewal. Amazon has automatic renewal by default.
