I have a number of tablets and they each came with a power adapter and I leave on plugged in and charge my Kindle with it. I have no idea anymore which tablet that charger came with.
However, I've used chargers from my phone with no problems as well as chargers from other devices. I've had Kindles since they first came out with the Kindle 3 and I've upgraded to every new model and all of them have worked with whatever charger I happen to be using.
A charger did come with my Kindle 3 but I don't recall ever using it. I'm not sure I even have it.
