I was thinking about Rudolph The Red-Nose Reindeer and how he was rejected by the other reindeer because of his nose. But does that mean that Rudolph is simply a mutant reindeer and there will soon be other mutant reindeer?
What about the elves? It seems like the elves haven't changed but why are they so different from the elves in Lord Of The Rings? Santa's elves are about 1/6 the size of the Lord Of The Rings elves, but could that just be the result of a long-term separation from the rest of the elves? Of course, it may be possible that Santa's elves are actually hobbits who have changed over the years to look a bit more elvish.
