Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson might suit. Plus its free using the Creative Commons license.
Elantris may or may not also count since he released a novella in the same world a few years back.
Sanderson's worlds aren't stereotypical but the underpinnings generally fit the usual fantasy formula.
