It shouldn't be
that bad. In theory, removing comments shouldn't hurt anything, but
replace_br_with_p is a bunch of heuristics for handling poor HTML that somebody else wrote and I don't understand.
So I would appreciate it if users who do regularly use
replace_br_with_p will try this version and let me know their results.
