They are pushing fluids into him (he was very dehydrated from the fever), but he hasn't peed yet. He still isn't eating, but they are working on getting him to eat something (anything) as well. We're more worried about the fluids than the food right now.
I'll be driving out to the hospital to visit him tomorrow. I'll probably take some dry Cheerios or Cheez-its with me (he LOVES those) and see if I can tempt him with those.
Oh yes, as to what is wrong. We think that one of the grownups might have bitten him a little too hard during play and it got infected. There's no abscess and he never acted as if he had a wound or anything, so I don't think anyone was out to hurt him (my cats are not generally like that), but these things do happen.
